Yes, on Huawei phones with EMUI or HarmonyOS 4 and older: install the Android app, then follow the Huawei steps at the end of its install guide so the VPN keeps running with the screen off. HarmonyOS 5 and later can’t install Android apps, so Rantau VPN can’t be used there yet.
Choose More info, then Run anyway. Windows shows this for new apps that are not yet signed with a paid certificate.
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway next to Rantau VPN. macOS shows this for new apps that Apple has not checked yet. The first time you connect, your Mac also asks for your password once, to set up the VPN.
